Produktinformation
Grigory Sokolov ist ein außergewöhnlicher Künstler. Er wird als einer der weltbesten Pianisten von Kritikern und Publikum gleichermaßen gefeiert, seine ausverkauften Konzerte sind Kult-Veranstaltungen – er selbst ist allein seiner Kunst verpflichtet und sonst nichts und niemandem.
Mit “Schubert & Beethoven” hat der Künstler Live-Mitschnitte freigegeben, im Bemühen nur die bestmögliche Wiedergabe eines Werks auf Tonträger festzuhalten. So ist der Inhalt ein vollständiges Recital-Programm, basiert aber auf zwei Mitschnitten, die erste Programmhälfte aus Warschau, die zweite aus Salzburg, beide 2013 aufgezeichnet.
Sokolov spielt Meisterwerke von Schubert, die Vier Impromptus op.90 und die Klavierstücke D946, und Beethovens mächtige “Hammerklavier”-Sonate op. 106, gefolgt von sechs meisterlichen Zugaben von Rameau und Brahms.
